| 1416076 | 2016-02-15 12:01:00 | With women's birthdays, a more algebraic form of notation is used, along with a semi-floating base. Obviously, not all years are created equal, and global warming causes calendrical expansion too. Good years may be counted on a decimal based system, but less adept years might go on a base 97 system, so increments appear a little puzzling to those not aware of the system. Also, as part of multitasking practices to enhance mathematical fluency, the number used is not always a traditional numeric value. The number is a numeric stand-in for an alphabetical algebraic symbol. if x can be assigned the value 29, then 29 = X. It is equally valid to have X=37, and since it is true that X=X, then 29 = 37. QED In these matters it is essential to apply the golden rule: she is always right. Rule 2, In any event it appears that she may not be right, Rule 1 applies (A related principle appears to be used to ensure that on sale or not, all shoes are a bargain to be eagerly seized.) ;) |
