1416028 2016-02-13 07:36:00 Soo....am doing this project..... and I have been researching how to do this myself however I have no clue how to do this....

I need a few (possibly three) LED lights that blink.....slowly..... The main one needs to blink really slow.....the other two can blink every few seconds....here's the catch, I don't want all the LED's to blink at same time.... plus they need to run on a batteries...

Anyone can assist or point me to a website? Or is someone clever to do this with me or for me? Pleas PM and I will give you the full story :) and plan :)

1416029 2016-02-13 08:44:00 Do you mean 12V LED strips or separate LED lamps or bulbs? If strips the LED's are different dimensions, e.g. 3528, 5050, 5630, etc. Can get from 1 led to several led's (similar to under body car kit srtips - commonly 5 m strip reels.

They also include separate electronic controllers. I think some short LED strips have built in controllers. I had some as I was going to hook it up to my car's idle control valve to view the number of flashes (pulses) to simulate the number of "counts" of the valve moving to open or close at idle and rev's.

Gave that project up, but instead wired LED strips for floor lights to light up under the dash and seats, when the door is opened, or door unlocked. Then another LED strip set wired to a toggle switch.

Are the LED's to be wired into another circuit, so as to activate (flash)?. I researched using Google images and eBay - which have all sorts or LED combinations, styles, and controllers.

1416030 2016-02-13 09:18:00 Hey, thanks for your reply, yes well...I just want to use a single LED light, so there in total, no strips... and they need to flash, its a robot am making, and am not sure where to start really! I was hoping someone could assist me... I have seen the strips but they have multiple lights, I just want single LED's for mine. mark1978 (13845)
1416031 2016-02-13 09:48:00 OK seems like a circuit board approach with mini led (s). Try Arduino, (www.arduino.cc) specifically flashing led projects (goo.gl) (search results) may help kahawai chaser (3545)
1416032 2016-02-14 03:47:00 You can buy flashing LED's, all you need is the right voltage to run them www.jaycar.co.nz not sure how you would try to adjust the speed or sync them but they do blink. You can also run LED's off almost any DC voltage with a simple series resistor.

Or a simple cct can be built to make regular LED's flash, if you google flashing LED circuit you'll get heaps of Ideas. Here's one www.build-electronic-circuits.com
