1415466 2016-02-04 18:25:00 Reporting a $25M deal with Manufacturer ATR

Air New Zealand has announced it will spend more than $25 million on a partnership with an European aircraft manufacturer to equip its 68-seat turboprop fleet with advanced required navigation performance technology.

The national carrier is working with manufacturer ATR on the technology which enables trained pilots to fly at lower altitudes.

The don't-care-a-less can't-be-bothered-to-present-facts bimbos/himbos at the Herald post a supporting picture of an Air NZ jet Airbus 320, not a turboprop ATR:

The only similarity between the two is they both have Air New Zealand painted on the side ...

Well, given that we have just been colonised by them via TPPA, you have nothing to complain about :p

Because, in reality, 99% of kiwi's dont have that train spotting mentality.
99% of kiwis wouldnt care if a photo of a plane wasnt 100000% correct . Its a plane, who really cares if the stock photo is wrong.
Obviously, they should send their top man out to take photos of the actual plane

Write a stern letter to the editor .
do they think Im stupid, that photo is the variant 5 when obviously it should have been the variant 5c with the upgraded toilet seat

1415473 2016-02-06 02:48:00 Point taken 1101 re the train spotting mentality.

Without getting into the technicalities of turboprop vs jet aircraft and the reasons for the navigational equipment upgrade, the point is that the Herald is not reporting accurately. If it's worth reporting at all, it doesn't take too much effort to make sure the content is accurate and factual.

:)

1415474 2016-02-06 07:27:00 Well the writer/editor could have linked to a relevant industry article or use citations, references, testimonials, etc like what I noticed NYC does, and other news/blogs/publications tend to do. kahawai chaser (3545)

I'm not sure news people have ever reported accurately. Never mind pictures, the exaggerate info, they leave bits out, add other drama in, can't spell and don't have much understanding of grammar either now.
