| 1415405 | 2016-02-03 23:32:00 | Do you do something for Valentine's Day or do you, like me, think that it is yet another load of American rubbish? Another reason for retailers to sell their wares. Why would you only want to do something special for your loved one once a year? Surely you would want every day to be special? I certainly do. I'm forever grateful for my good fortune in having such a loving wife and I tell her that I love her every day. Treat your spouse in a special way every day. |

| 1415409 | 2016-02-04 03:49:00 | I totally agree that it doesn't need to be extravagant and I would rather it wasn't. I dislike the commercialism that uses any celebration to sell but it's also my choice not to buy into it. (Excuse the pun.) Incidentally, a couple of guys I know receive something such as a rose left on their desk by their respective spouse on Valentines Day. I often receive flowers unexpectedly from my husband throughout the year. |

Actually it's not American rubbish as you call it. It goes back to Roman times.. www.history.com en.wikipedia.org |
