Copy the image and post it on social media, complete with address and the story (dress it up a little). I love it! With any luck your post will go viral, and if nothing else, the scam 'operators' will get a lot of unwelcome attention. If revenge is more important than reimbursement, it might help if you changed your name a little to become an elderly female pro-tem and borrowed a photo of a white haired old lady! :D With a decent serve of righteous indignation and the right reaction, they might be out of business inside of a week.
