Hope you didn't pay to see it :p Nah, we never pay for movies, Mrs T wins free tickets to previews approximately twice every 6 weeks . Our previous outing was a ripper of a true story (The Finest Hour), a true story of an heroic coastguard/lifeboat and crew that had room for only 12 survivors (plus crew) but brought back 36 men (draped anywhere across the boat that they could get a handhold) after a large freighter lost power and broke in half during an horrendous storm . Yes, the story developed slowly, but so do storms, shipwrecks and rescue missions . The film was in 3-D and I thought the waves were a bit overdone, but after the movie finished the old man sitting next to me turned and said that he was an old seadog, spending his working life on freighters, and he said he'd seen worse waves in his career . His only criticism was that some of the engine-room scenes were spiced up and lost a bit of credibility . He talked to us for a short while about his nautical history, which was about as hair raising as the film . Better him than me! Cheers Billy =8-{O |

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple's share price takes a hit once it is fully understood how he set out to capture the market and the users, and how he treated his ex-partner and their love child. All I can say is that I'm glad we had free tickets and didn't have to pay for parking either, as we'd have had a better time going to the Dentist, at least that would have had some worthwhile outcomes. Steve Wozniak was a cameo appearance only, which is probably just as well! Cheers Billy 8-{) :annoyed: The movie totally bombed in the US. I'm not in any hurry to see it. |

| 1415429 | 2016-02-09 06:55:00 | Likewise, it may have been harrowing for you to see the prick as he really was . It wasn't harrowing as such, just extraordinary that he could be an absolute prick behind the scenes, yet engendered such hero-worship whenever he stepped out on stage, when all the while he was cynically screwing those same admirers for all he was worth . Only in America, he wouldn't have lasted six months anywhere else . Sadly Billy jnr has fallen for the Apple hype and instead of using a decent keyboard and screen size, he is hunched over an iMac tablet with a screen smaller than the Lisa and keyboard that he can hardly touch-type on . Cheers Billy 8-{) |

I'm still recovering from the movie, which the Herald reviewer ranked as 4.5* :horrified Whatever he was smoking or sniffing, I want some of that!! Cheers Billy 8-{) :sleep |

I was always a Windows guy and so a little anti Apple. But you do have to hand it to him he was a great marketer and had a dream of a pc in every house. He was also the one the convinced the record companies to let him sell their songs on Itunes. Yes he was a bit arrogant and dictatorial. I loved the evangelical scenes when Ashton came in to the rooms! (very cool) I think its a bit silly that they have done anothe rmovie on Jobs so close to the last one. |
