I'm sure I could adjust it to suit. Motorway traffic comes to mind.....It seems pretty good at jumping cars.

1415782 2016-02-10 07:36:00 I find various bits of this quite disturbing.

But lets ignore that this is the disturbing result of Jeremy Clarkson going to bed with the Jackass guys, and just consider a few 'facts' about vehicle safety.

The volvo in this video just does not crush. Its shell refuses to collapse.
We're told Volvos have the best crash safety stats.
We're also told that in the old days when cars had rigid structures that death and injury occured because of passengers having solid unforgiving impacts with the car itself, so cars these days are made to collapse, to absorb a lot of the energy in a collision.

What we see in this video is that Volvo does not collapse. All the damage is done to the other party in the crash. Volvo get their safety rep by basically dishing out the harm to the opposing vehicle instead.

So, if you're going to be in a crash, just pray it's not a crash with a volvo.

If you want to see humas turned to pulp, then try Volvo vs Volvo. It won't be pretty inside those cars afterwards.

.

And? Same with any vehicle with a full chassis. Various of the 4wds don't crush either when hit from front or rear.

The disintegrating car thing originally came about cause Americans wouldn't wear seatbelts.
Volvo were first to install seatbelts too.

Our Cambridge was a bit like that video, although we never rolled it, so can't say about the roof etc.

But front/rear, it was brilliant.
