606646 2007-10-30 18:36:00 I defrag my HD with OO Professional.
I run auto optomize on Ashampoo magical optomiser.
I run OO again and it finds a lot of defragging to do.
I run shampoo again and it finds lots of optomising to do.
I run OO again and ......... so on ad infinitum.

What should I run first?

And just to make things more interesting. I told windows defagger it was the default defragger and it informs me "I should defragg my HD"!!!!!!!!!!!

What should I do to the windows defragger? :badpc:

606647 2007-10-30 18:43:00 I think I have seen posts which say that some files just will not defrag. On my partners ltop there are 3 very wide solid red bands that are there all the time and do not alter if we defrag. kjaada (253)

I would ONLY use one defragging program.
The programs are confused by the presence of the other.

606649 2007-10-30 22:04:00 You change your PC too often to need that much defragging. PaulD (232)

606652 2007-10-31 00:27:00 I had files that I couldn't defrag, so I logged in on safe mode and they defragged for me. On a seperate occasion I found files that safe mode wouldn't defrag, logged in on my normal admin account and they were defragged.

(I love not having to defrag linux too)
