I am trying to install Media Player 10 and I get the error message about 50 % into it, the error says: The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP. ( Tell me why this testing is importnat) The software will not be installed. Contact your system administrator. This also happens when I try install Windows Media Player 11 Im on Windows XP with SP2 :illogical |

If someone else doesn't solve it, I'll probably post back tomorrow when I have an XP machine to look at! | wratterus (105) | ||

Under 'Drivers' click on 'Driver Signing'. I expect 'Block - Never Install Unsigned Driver Software' to be selected. Change it to either 'Warn - Prompt me each time to choose an action', or "Ignore - Install the software and don't ask for my approval'. |
