606982 2007-10-31 18:12:00 Recently, our ihug broadband has had issues connecting. It always shows 'Dialling 0,100' and sometimes stays there for a few seconds (it's usually replaced with Authenticating username and password immediately), disappears, then comes up with 'The remote computer is not responding'. We shut down every computer, turn the computer with the modem off at the power supply, then turn it back on, and it just might work. Is this an ihug issue, a Telecom issue or a computer issue? (All computers run Windows XP SP2) pcuser42 (130)

Best of luck!

606984 2007-10-31 21:59:00 It'll be their problem. I used to get the same message when I was on dialup.

Sometimes, it took 4-5 redials to connect.

What kind of modem is it ?? PCI ADSL modem?

606985 2007-11-01 02:31:00 USB ADSL modem, D-link.

Dad has rung them up, several times, and they always say 'not our problem. Restart the computer...' and whatnot. :(

Or try another USB cable.
