| 606792 | 2007-10-31 05:57:00 | Hi all Much of the time I open an already saved file from within Explorer rather than through File, Open in an Application. Recently on several occasions I have encountered a problem. On these occasions when I double-click the filename it does not open and I can see that Explorer is not responding. Usually a restart of the computer fixes the problem. What I have noticed is that upon shutting down I get a Chkadmin.exe error ... This program is not responding ... . I believe that Chkadmin.exe is the tray bar process for Compaq Network Management System allowing the user to access and manage network resouces. I do not know if the two are related and I was hoping one of you might be able to point me into the right direction. All virus definitions are up-to-date, system has been scanned using Adeware and Spybot. Thanks Oxie |
