| 607408 | 2007-11-01 13:35:00 | Hi guys, Im looking at upgrading my soundcard for recording purposes. Im planning on putting a mixing desk hooked up to my PC at home. Alot of live music and lots of level clipping sounds will running through it so must be able to handle a bit of of power for recording live. Can anyone recommend a high quality sound card that can take recording multiple channels live and handle clipping etc? Im not even sure how much Im looking at dollar wise but Ill say open season on the price for now. Cheers |

| 607412 | 2007-11-01 16:50:00 | Rob I looked into this quite some time ago and it was recommended to me to use an external sound device such as Sound Blaster Audigy external box. It is a while ago and they have advanced a bit sime I did my research but I was told that an internal card no matter how good would pick up minimal computer sound and if i wanted less of that to go external. | Bantu (52) | ||

| 607414 | 2007-11-01 18:15:00 | I've used the Edirol external Firewire cards before, and they're really good www.rolandus.com Probably a bit excessive for what you want, but there are smaller models. I think Dannz recently bought himself a recording-quality soundcard?? |
