607189 2007-11-01 02:03:00 My mouse's right button has stopped functioning. The left button still works. I swapped the mouse for another one, and the problem remains - ie the problem appears to be in the computer, not the mouse.

There have been no new installations etc, the problem just came out of the blue.

I'm stuck for a solution. Any ideas welcome!

607190 2007-11-01 02:04:00 What kind of mouse is it? USB or PS/2

If PS/2 it might be stuffed, get a USB mouse.

607191 2007-11-01 02:07:00 It's a USB mouse. But when I swapped it for another (I'm at work) the problem remained on my PC, even though I was using a different mouse. colmack (2939)
607192 2007-11-01 02:11:00 Did you also try a different USB port? If you can try a PS/2 mouse, do that as well. FoxyMX (5)
607193 2007-11-01 02:14:00 Tell the IT guys to fix it, thats what they get paid for.

Or replace the computer.

607194 2007-11-01 02:15:00 Go into the control panel, open the mouse and check the settings, to make sure they are at default, I just read that some web sites have a ability to disable the right click (never actually had it happen though).
Sometimes also if you have a 3 button mouse the scroll wheel takes over from the right click. Try depressing the Scroll wheel if you have one, see if its locked some how.

Other wise what type of mouse do you have ?
