| 607893 | 2007-11-04 20:00:00 | Does anyone have any opinions on these two 7900GT cards on trademe (my mate has put his card in another computer now): www.trademe.co.nz www.trademe.co.nz The second XFX one is the better of the two, its has a slightly fast core. Might be worth considering a new 8600GT or GTS if your willing to spend that much money atleast you'd get a warranty and I'm pretty sure the 8600 is faster than a 7900GT. Probably worth saving up some money and considering the 8800GT or 2900PRO, theres meant to be a 2900GT on its way that should cost about the same as the 8600 and eat it for dinner. |

| 607896 | 2007-11-06 03:25:00 | Id definately save for the 8800 or the radeons 2900pro, because how far down the road will it be till you need these or better anyways? atleast then you can buy a second one and crossfire or sli and get by for a bit longer. If you upgrade to a second 7900, then how long will it be till those cards get surpassed? If you sell your 7900, and save up a little bit here and there, an 8800 or 2900 isnt too far out of your ball park. And you will definately notice an improvement over sli'd 7900's -Sarge |
