607627 2007-11-02 07:35:00 Apparently you can use the xp install setup with a sata hard drive if your BIOS has an option to emulate an IDE drive - not by simply doing a disable of the sata Yep thats correct, in fact I had a HP server last weekend 3 x 320 SATA drives, OS wouldn't detect them, Bios couldn't change as you mentioned, I got around it by loading acronis disk director and simply told it to create a partition, then the OS found and loaded the software perfectly. wainuitech (129)

Did you press F6, during the install / when it says to press F6?

Should be able to just make sure you extract the files in the exe file / zip file/s first.

I dont think it accepts exe or zip files (unless it changed from when I used it last).

I think you can add hotfixes / patches to it too, then burn the lot to cd.

607633 2007-11-03 02:16:00 used nlite to put sata driver into the disk it found it because now windows install can see the hard disk. The thing is after the welcome screen when i press enter it just goes to another blue screen with a bit down the bottom that says examining... i have no idea hayesanator (12993)
