607612 2007-11-02 04:01:00 I found a reference that said it could be a DEbian problem and booting with a non
deb live CD could fix it but DSL live cd booted ok and the problem with my kubuntu live cd remains.

607613 2007-11-02 04:24:00 That error message might be one error message, and one information message: something like

/bin/sh: can't access tty
job control turned off if it were formatted nicely. ;)

If it's a live CD, there's probably nothing you can do to fix it. When you boot from a CD, there is no OS code in the computer until it is loaded. And thats all on the CD.

It might be a problem with an unusual keyboard ... say a cordless one, which doesn't "exist" for an OS until its driver is loaded. But that's just a guess. If it happens with two different OS live CDs, it might even be a good guess.

607614 2007-11-02 06:23:00 As part of the same problem, when loading Klikit OS it stops at about 30%
and says press cntrl D to proceed and then all is normal. My other PCLOS OS loads and performs as normal. So I would guess it is not the disk or keyboard.

607615 2007-11-02 06:45:00 This probably means it's failing to boot for some reason, and dropping you to busybox. Busybox does not have multitasking abilities. Erayd (23)
