| 608917 | 2007-11-07 03:22:00 | Just got a reply back - sorry but the two guys my mate knows are unavailable currently. Only other suggestion I can think of is grab the telephone book and ring around - pot luck. |

| 608918 | 2007-11-07 03:51:00 | Thanks. I'm sick of trying to help them fix it via the phone And its too far for me. And I don't really want to know anyway - busy cleaning out PC trashed by kiddies. Man, what isn't on this PC I don't know....... Sounds like it's not teeming with techs PC. Laura always sounds like she knows it,she may come to party. |

| 608919 | 2007-11-07 04:07:00 | Why not PBTech who are also based in Dunedin: 86 Otaki St,Anderson Bay, Dunedin ph (03) 4550004 fax (03) 4550007 I have no direct contact with PBTech in Dunedin but both the Hamilton and Auckland stores appear to employ people who know what they are doing. "I'm sick of trying to help them fix it via the phone And its too far for me. And I don't really want to know anyway - busy cleaning out PC trashed by kiddies." If I were Pctek then it might be worthwile to send an Email to the friend and ask the friend to shop about in Dunedin armed with a list of questions such as:- Can you backup the data for MYOB? Can you install the new version? Will the new version handle the old data or can you convert it so it will? Will you guarantee the work? and etc. Normally, computer retailers are not required to do this work. Most will have a notice that mentions that the customer is responsible for backing up the hard drive and the retailer/repair person will NOT be responsible for loss of data. |
