609234 2007-11-07 21:51:00 Im putting some parts together to build a gaming mostly PC, and im getting this proccessor:

"Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 2.4GHz, 1066MHz FSB, Socket 775, 32/64-Bit, Kentsfield Core."

Which Motherboard suits this CPU best ?

as i mentioned above it will be used for gaming mostly.

So it has to be a motherborad that supports nVidia gfx

My budget is $400.00 maximum.

Intel, or Asus perhaps ...

any links to reviews will be great.

609240 2007-11-08 01:35:00 I'd say so but you could email them and ask.
The 8800GTX is 26.7 cm long and the Ultra is 27cm.

609241 2007-11-08 01:36:00 The case supports ATX so the motherboards shall fit. The "lengthy nvidia graphics cards" are approx 9 -10 inches (228.6 254 mm) in length and therefore should also fit.

Just beaten off the mark again.

609242 2007-11-10 08:40:00 Get a MB with X38 northbridge as it has a proper heatspeader that won't frequently crash and good for overclocking JUST INSANE (6682)
609243 2007-11-10 19:58:00 That may be so but all the X38 motherboards I've managed to find are over $400 NZD which was the MAX that the original poster wanted to spend anyway. stormdragon (6013)
