2007-11-12 00:45:00 | If it boots from the CD like speedy said it might, you dont need the command - it should load and then you answer some questions, like format the drive, agree to licence code etc. The command you provided is only if you boot from a Floppy to format the drive, which by the way is format C: (note space between t C: ) not formatc:

2007-11-12 00:54:00 | I chose (2. Start computer with CD Rom support) It processes something and analyzes the system, and then it has the command A:\> There are no options you can choose at the moment except for you to type in a command.

2007-11-12 01:03:00 | type d: (Or whatever letter the cd is) Might be d Type dir See if it brings up, whats on the cd. If it does bring something up, see if theres a setup.exe file or similar on it. If there is, type setup in. See if it takes you to the install screen.

[edited] although speedys answer is correct, change to the CD drive and it should install with setup.exe If Not then ----- Boot from floppy, select with CD support When you get the A:\ Prompt type in format C: /s (S not always required but wont hurt either) Agree to every thing and IT WILL WIPE THE DRIVE CLEAN Reboot again from floppy, when back at A:\> change to the cd drive, look and it normally says either D or E you will something like this A:\>D: Type in setup or setup.exe it should start the install process, follow on screen instructions NOTE: Win ME has the Setup.exe file in the main directory, no need to dive into the sub directorys. |

2007-11-12 03:49:00 | Speedy was correct. If 'frustrated' had taken the floppy disk out from the floppy disk drive ME should have booted up from the ME C D. However all is well that ends well.
