Can any one tell me why I can't access the folders mark with a black arrow on top of it in Users Folders( C:\Users\Smith\Application Data,My Music, My Picture, My Videos,My Document,NetHood etc, etc.) of Window Vista.

When I click on the folder mark with a black arrow, a small window shows up saiying: Location is not available-C:\Users\Smith\Application Data is not accessible.-Access is denied.

Can any one help please!

611089 2007-11-13 09:44:00 Hi wainuitech,
It is not the shortcuts on desktop, It is on C:\Users folder ( in Window Explorer)
Thanks

611090 2007-11-13 19:22:00 These are not real folders. They are only there for XP compatibility. Ignore them. linw (53)
611091 2007-11-14 09:33:00 Hi, linw,
They are real folders (in Vista ultimate), After I take control the ownership of the folders, I can open and view some of them but there still some of them show up the error messages "Access is denied"
Why is this? Because you can open and view all the folders in Window Explorer of XP.
Thanks.

611092 2007-11-14 09:35:00 Well Vista ISNT XP. And its meant to be more secure.

That could be the reason.
