611080 2007-11-13 00:21:00 I have been using Firefox browser for a long time but recently have been having increasing difficulty opening it. Occasionally I get a Software Licence window which I am invited to agree to, but when I check the 'I Agree' box and then OK or Continue, there is no response and I keep getting the Licence window back with the same results as before. It seems that Firefox will only open if I go through this procedure, and if I don't see the Licence, I can't open the programme. Thunderbird works fine. The problem seems to be in my computer as I can't open Firefox to read downloaded documents either. To say this is frustrating would be an understatement.
Have also downloaded and re-installed the software from the web and the latest PCWorld DVD.

611082 2007-11-13 00:59:00 You may have a damaged Profile in Firefox, try creating a new one, set it to default and see if the problem is fixed. Here's how --Create profile in Firefox (www.mozilla.org) wainuitech (129)
611083 2007-11-13 06:24:00 Hi. I tried to open the Profile box but could only open the Thunderbird one, not Firefox. So, in desperation, I uninstalled the software, restarted the system and installed afresh from the PCWorld DVD. And it opened.
So, so far so good. Will see if it behaves itself from now on.
Thanks
