611511 2007-11-14 21:26:00 Hi all,

I have an old PC (PIII) that I plan to connect to my new 22" wide flat panel.

One question:
Whether I choose to run Windows 98, 2000 or XP on this old PC (32MB graphics card), will the maximum screen resolution be the same between all OS's, or will it be different - eg will the max. res for this card in W98 be any lower than the max res for XP?

All help appreciated.

As for XP, I believe the drivers and card should be able to max the resolution on your 22".

If it's an Nvidia card they are sort of a 'unified architecture' and the drivers are backwards compatible. I had a 5200GT (?) that ran on the higher resolutions with Win 98 and a 19LCD screen
