611322 2007-11-14 03:13:00 Everywhere I look online the E6600 is more costly than the E6750, why is this?

2.4 vs 2.66 GHz, E6600 and E6750 respectively.

Why?

611324 2007-11-14 05:11:00 That's timely

I'm about to get a new system built around a E6750 on an ASUS P5KR motherboard so it looks like I made the right choice.

Particularly happy that the E6750 seems to run at a lot lower temperatures than my current Pentium 4 3.0ghz

611325 2007-11-14 05:19:00 The E6750 is an excellent CPU. Overclocked it 3.2GHz rock solid and stable at only 5 degree rise from 15 to 20 with stock cooling and voltage. qazwsxokmijn (102)
611326 2007-11-14 06:33:00 The E6750 is a newer chip than the E6600 and thus its likely cheaper simply because its more available. The E6750 would have likely received price cuts since its launch as its a current chip whereas the E6600 wouldn't Pete O'Neil (6584)
