| 612015 | 2007-11-16 07:57:00 | Using my bros account :) I am a complete and utter Linux noob, I have barely used it before . Just installed Sabayon, on a different partition from XP . All good, can boot both OSes, but Sabayon is the default in the boot loader . I'd like to make XP the default . What do I need to do to make this happen . In the Control Center, system administration, boot loader (lilo), under operating systems the only entries I have are sabayon linux, the same thing in there twice, no mention of XP anywhere . Any help would be much appreciated . |

(the default for Sabayon is grub) Open the file browser, and go to /boot and see if there is a grub folder in there. Let me know if there is Also, do you know how to use the terminal and how to get root in the terminal? |

If there is a rescue linux OS listed in grub.conf, you will probably have to change the default 0 line to default 2 |
