| 613039 | 2007-11-19 19:44:00 | hi folks, i currently have a broadband connection with woosh. i have had an account with them for approx. 1 1/2 years & were it not for the fact i am flatting & therefore prefer not to have a land line connection, based on my experience with woosh i would probably get a more consistent performance from a land line connection. My average download speed is between 50- 90 kbps. The house i live in is in a deep trough with houses all around (well it is suburbia after all), but i am between two woosh masts so one would assume i should have a better connection. Woosh, when contacted (after waiting for one's call to be answered for 20 minutes) offer little, if any, useful advice. With all the variables affecting broadband reception (house construction, position of modem, etc, etc) it's hard to ascertain what is a reasonable expectation for signal strength, given my geographical position. Please don't offer advice like repositioning the aerial & so on, I've been there, done that. What i would like to hear from other broadband users, is their experience with other brbd suppliers, as well as any woosh subscribers who get better results & why they think that is so. Cheers. | felix56 (12425) | ||

| 613045 | 2007-11-20 00:21:00 | Xtra, Slingshot and Ihug are crap, especially the customer support. Xnet, KOL, Orcon, Telstra and Actrix are the ones to go with. You will not be hppy with Xtra's speeds and customers support. |

| 613047 | 2007-11-20 00:50:00 | How many more times is this going to be raised? And just when I thought we all agreed that xnet was the best. And if I said what I think of anyone who uses xtra, I'rd be banned for life. |
