Firstly, 128MB of RAM isn't really ideal, but as you say you have already had PCLinuxOS running one stage on it.

Anyway, I would just install Win98SE on it for starters. Once you have that up and running, have a look at the current partiton/size layout using a Windows based tool if that makes it easier to interpret what you are seeing. Once you can see everything looks OK, then install PCLinuxOS. The install guide lets you resize the partition that Windows uses if required.

Detailed information can be found here, so follow each step carefully:

613255 2007-11-21 05:22:00 This is my Quixote moment ( . wikipedia . org/wiki/Don_Quixote" target="_blank">simple . wikipedia . org) . . I WILL MAKE THIS WORK, with my dear faithful sidekick Sancho Panza!

Instructions? INSTRUCTIONS?

I love instructions . . but they should not be in preschool Martian!

I took a Home Brain Surgeon License test ($29 . 95, found on the back of a matchbook cover) by mail once and although the subsequent operations were successful, some patients died . So I can follow instructions .

Now . . I am gonna go fishing for a few hours and just NOT think about things L .

Good thing I am retired and can devote all these hours to the pursuit of alternate happinesses .

Don't get sh1tty dude, it was a genuine suggestion . You need to find and read instructions for that distro . You are making the craziest mistakes . You are never going to learn anything if your answer to a screwed install is perpetual re-installs and distro-hopping .

The "for Dummies" series of Linux books is very good - don't get insulted at the title . A book is infinitely better than trying to get answers from a forum piecemeal .
