614290 2007-11-23 07:59:00 Has anybody thought of replacing the noisy North Bridge chipset cooler. Mines about 100 degrees Celsius.
Nforce 4 Ultra aluminum heatsink with small fan running on 6000rpm.
Im considering to get a zalman flower fanless northbridge cooler it can drop 25 degrees. Reduce noise.

614291 2007-11-23 08:04:00 I doubt it's at 100 degrees. How do you know it's that hot? If the system's stable, you don't need to worry. qazwsxokmijn (102)

614293 2007-11-23 08:46:00 I think you'd better hop into the BIOS and have a look at what the temp REALLY is.

If it is indeed 100 degrees, turn it off and fix it. It should never get that hot and it won't last long at that temp.

More likely, it's around 70 which might be OK for a full load temperature but is still a bit hot. How's the airflow in your case? Do you have properly thought-out inflows and outflows of air or just a bunch of fans which could be working against each other?
