| 613914 | 2007-11-22 03:57:00 | Hi, I'm connected to BroadBand with xnet, and for financial reasons bought a $40 modem (XH9972). I've got it working on an old ME computer, which dual boots with Simply Mepis. Is there any way that I can get Mepis to use the modem through Windows ME. My main Question is:- Ubuntu is on my other computer and I'd like to use the modem for this. Searches have revealed that cheap USB modems can be difficult (no supprises there) with Linux. But I'm wondering if anyone has any thing to help get it going with Ubuntu (Fiesty). Thanks in anticipation............sarum |

The site recommended by Nigel seems promising. I shall have another look at that this evening as well. Thanks again to you both...............sarum |
