613904 2007-11-22 08:33:00 Hey dude if u are looking for a way to download vids off youtube this is the best, its a freeware program, all safe

http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/

All you do is copy the URL into the Box and click download!

it is the best it downloads them in a flv file format but then its got 8 different file types to change it to eg, MP3 (just the sound), MP4, AVI (divix codic required)

Yea and if your lazy like me it will even name the vid file the same as the youtube vid!

Yea thats ur best option.

613906 2007-11-22 08:43:00 Well you copy and paste the Youtube URL from the address bar into the program. eg: (youtube.com) <=== in that format.. u dont need the WWW. infront...

after you download and install it open it and then paste the url into the enter video URL and click GO!

go onto the website and scroll down and openup screenshot 1... thet wil show you the layout... it is very very easy to use.

Yes, well, I have done the same for years for various files using ZTree which can bring up recent files in a flash, but for some inexplicable reason YouTube files don't seem to appear.

Using ZTree I successfully transferred a file from another source just a day or so ago, so maybe I need to look into that again. I had always assumed that YouTube had added code that prevented the browser cache from storing their files, hence the proliferation of grabbers.

Maybe they are not quite as smart as I gave them credit for!

Cheers
