| 615217 | 2007-12-09 18:56:00 | Looks ok to me but tick these entries then tick fix checked. Close browser/s. Put hijackthis in its own folder first O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_02\bin\jusched.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SSBkgdUpdate] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Scansoft Shared\SSBkgdUpdate\SSBkgdupdate.exe -Embedding -boot O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SoundMan] SOUNDMAN.EXE Uninstall all versions of Java. Latest version is in my sig. I think we've tried everything else. The only other thing you can try is disable the onboard network adapter and buy a separate adapter. See if still crashes. It maybe damaged Or if its still under warranty take it back. |

| 615220 | 2007-12-13 20:14:00 | Thanks Speedy, I was just having a senior moment. I have done all that and subsequently think I may have isolated the problem further. I am currently using the computer on the network, but without Outlook running, and it hasn't crashed yet. I will start up Outlook in a moment and see what happens. Thanks for your help with this. I suspect that I may have to reload Outlook. I think it is on the MS office disc, is that correct? |
