What size tank? I've just shut down my last tropical tank and house already feels empty.

It's not that big, 40 cm x 24 cm. Holds 23 litres. If they work out, I might get a bigger better tank.
Yes you would miss them, it's nice to have something lively and interesting in the house, apart from the cat!

Sorry but that tank is way to small. Gold fish require a lot more room to grow than most people think. Do a quick google on gold fish tank sizes and you'll see what I mean.

They will be ok for a few months but after that they will start feeling the effects of the small tank. It's a good hobby to get into though although I am taking a break from it now after running 3 tanks at once which demanded more time than I was willing to give it.

1416658 2016-03-03 04:13:00 Yep, I know that's why I'm looking at getting another bigger tank soon. Am getting advice from local pet shop guy who is a fish fanatic. Just at the moment though, it is a money thing.... Until then they're just fine for now.
