1421395 2016-06-03 00:15:00 Ok guys & gals, I’m in Aus at the moment and unable to send E-Mails from my Thunderbird mail.

Receiving is fine but I can’t forward anything.

On previous occasions I have just changed the smtp settings to mail.bigpond.com and away we went but not this time.

I’m working from a Telstra “T” stick to my clearnet NZ account.

As I say it has worked fine in the past, but I wonder if the purchase of Telstra Clear by Vodafone is the problem. Years ago I had the same problem with Kinect/Trustpower when they blocked smtp mail from out of the country so I changed ISP’s and have had no problems until now.

Any thoughts on the problem?

I can use webmail but it's damn inconvenient.

1421396 2016-06-03 00:58:00 try smtp.telstra.com although I would have assumed mail.bigpond.com should have worked.

Other than that, you verify yourself with your original smtp server.

Thanks Kame, smtp.telstra.com did the trick.
