| 1420963 | 2016-05-26 02:01:00 | I'm with Vodafone ADSL and my consistent download speed is 8.6 mbps. I believe it should be at least 15 plus. Before I contact Vodafone, is there anything I should check in the settings? The modem is a Huawei HG659. |

| 1420965 | 2016-05-26 05:02:00 | In that modem, I think it's under 'maintain' then stats? or something like that, there is DSL info, check line stats there, post a screenshot of them if you're not sure what you're looking at. You've got everything filtered correctly in the house? Have you considered getting a master splitter installed? |

Installation went extremely well and I am now happy with the speed at which websites load. With the previous Vodafone modem, Huawei 630b, I could wait up to 2 minutes for a site to load and now wonder if it might have been the modem's fault. However, I am now a happy chappie! |

It could be the state of the ph lines, both inside & outside the house. Also depends how far away from the exchange you are. That speed may be about right for where you are & state of the ph lines . Check the connect speed in the modem (if you know how) . Run speed test at different times of the day. Disconnect ant ph's & faxes temp & retry speedtest Dont run speedtests via wifi Heavy rain used to make my ADSL connect speeds drop , alot. Every year the Chorus guy would come out, fix the ph line ,both inside & at the road, all well for a year , then repeat. He said the whole street had issues, he was often down our st doing repairs . |
