616612 2007-11-29 22:28:00 My friend's Toshiba Laptop has got XP Pro pre-installed; upon checking the Licence sticker at the bottom, found that it's a little unusual:

" Windows XP Professional 1-2 CPU
Product Key: xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx

One Time Choice Only.

Product Key: xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx "

How do you interpret the above?

Does it mean that he can use the other set of key for his desktop PC?

616614 2007-11-29 22:53:00 I think you'll find the "One Time Choice Only" key is for Windows 2000 Pro.

I think with some laptops, when you first booted it up from new, it would give you the option of Running with XP Pro or 2000 Pro.
