| 616605 | 2007-11-29 22:25:00 | Specs Host machine: Vista ultimate Problem software Virtual PC 2007 PC-Cillin Internet security 2007 Ok I use Virtual PC to test out sites in some older OS, as some of you know my old 2K operating system died irretrievably so i have just installed Virtual PC 2007 on my Vista machine, everything seems to run fine except i can't access the net with my virtual machines, Unless I turn PC-Cillin off The issue is that i have to let the virtual machines through the firewall, but i don't want to create a gaping hole, I don't even know what port i should be opening in the firewall (if any) What i have done I have allowed virtual PC (and its components) access to the web Searched the net, but haven't found anything clear and concise that explains it in a way i understand Drank amber liquid |

| 616610 | 2007-12-12 08:28:00 | yep it works fine with the MS firewall, (I'm in my virtual machine now), I just can't figure out why PC-Cillin isn't working nicely with it oh well at least I know if worst comes to worst i can flick the windows firewall on if I need to use my virtual machines |

| 616611 | 2007-12-12 18:48:00 | dont know much about the firewall you are using or VPC 07 ( I use vmserver). But are you able to put in the ip as trusted that the virtual machine is using or even give the trusted status to the virtual nic within the firewall config. | beama (111) | ||
