615576 2007-11-27 06:09:00 Hi everybody. I would appreciate if somebody could help me with the following small problem as it drives me crazy. Since I've installed the new Comodo Firewall Pro 3, my computer takes ages to turn off after clicking the relevant button. Many thanks. Cyberhuskey (13067)

615580 2007-11-27 20:10:00 Comodo 3 is giving me some major headaches while gaming, but not with shutdown. rob_on_guitar (4196)
615581 2007-11-27 21:27:00 rob theres a 'gaming' setting you can use .......ah hang on I'll try to find it....

Training Mode: The firewall will monitor and learn the activity of any and all executables and create automatic 'Allow' rules until the security level is adjusted. You will not receive any Defense+ alerts in 'Training Mode'. If you choose the 'Training Mode' setting, we advise that you are 100% sure that all applications and executables installed on your computer are safe to run.

Tip: This mode can be used as the “Gaming Mode”. It is handy to use this setting temporarily when you are running an (unknown but trusted) application or Games for the first time. This will suppress all Defense+ alerts while the firewall learns the components of the application that need to run on your machine and automatically create 'Allow' rules for them. Afterwards, you can switch back to 'Train with Safe Mode' mode).

Ok, I admit I jumped the gun! I just assumed it's Comodo's fault as I'm stuck with this problem precisely since installing Comodo 3 and had no problem with Comodo 2.

Does it show its file?? Does it hang?
Don't understand first question. Yes it hangs between clicking shut down button and actual turn off.

I would have a look here
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I have done this when installing Comodo. Is there a way to check if registration has been done?

Registering on the site isnt the same as registering the program.

You have to register on the site, to post a question. And to see the posts I think.

In previous versions of Comodo you had to register it. In V3 I dont think you have to register Comodo itself.

Well when I installed V3, I didnt see a register option

Yup but HOW do you know Comodo is making it hang??

Does it bring up the file for Comodo, and do you have to terminate its process, to shut down??

If the name of a file appears (and you have to terminate it), whats the name of the file?

Comodo isnt the prob then, if it hangs when u disable it. Its something else.

Post a hijackthis log, link is in my sig below.
