| 615826 | 2007-11-28 19:00:00 | I have a couple of tracks (mp3) that I would like to convert so they can be played on a cd player (not computer). What format do/should I convert these to play successfully? I am using MediaCoder, or I could use Audacity. Or is there a better (and free) option? If you have Nero, choose the Music > Audio CD option to burn the MP3 files to a CD. Nero will convert them into a format that the CD player can play. Be sure to burn them at the slowest speed possible (eg 4x) as some players, especially older ones, will not play CDs burnt at faster speeds. |

| 615829 | 2007-11-29 01:50:00 | Most CD players will play MP3 - it is a mainstream codec. NONE of my 3 CD (hifi) players will play MP3 (none are cheap or crappy) Most DVD players will play MP3 Many CD headunits wont play MP3, especially older/cheaper models It usually turns out that the cheap/crappy/Chinese CD or DVD player tend to have better(less restrictive??) compatibility Nero will automatically covert from MP3 to Music CD if you do a "Audio CD" burn. |
