| 617635 | 2007-12-03 19:22:00 | When I rename My Computer from the desktop icon, it reverts back to My Computer after rebooting. So I looked in the registry and found DisplayName with the value "My Computer". Is it safe for me to alter this value and will this solve my problem? (Naturally I've already backed up the registry). Thanks. |

| 617636 | 2007-12-03 19:42:00 | Do you want to change your computer name or account name. If it is your account name in Xp click on Start and then the computer name at the top of the window and in there you can change your name. :) |
