| 617485 | 2007-12-03 02:21:00 | I have an Nvidia 8800 vid card and latest drivers installed. What I want to know is are the drivers installed into windows. If they are why am I loading NVIDIA in services menu? Is the files loaded in the services menu necessary or does it just load card adjustments and other guff. My recipe for getting rid of unnecessary processes. Open msconfig. open startup tab. Untick everything!. Click services tab. Untick everything! Then just tick the AV and Nvidia tab. and nHancer tab. Then reboot. First boot is quite slow while xp looks for necessary files. In my case I have 15 processes running. It certainly helps FSX to perform. |

If u want to disable them, do it the proper way (control panel / admin tools / services). I would be careful WHAT services you disable. Some services need to be on manual or auto to work. And if some are disabled, your system may become unstable. |
