| 617395 | 2007-12-02 08:45:00 | Am at my wits end with only Dial up now . 5 days ago my Office Connect Firewall/router stopped connecting . A power cut to our area may have had an influence on this . I rang Xtra Broadband help who immediately said it is "all my fault" as I do not have their modem . I tried reinstalling a simple Dynalink ADSL modem, but no joy . Talked again to Xtra Help who said I had a faulty line, and would get a technician . AND on arrival, his laptop ad DICKSMITH modem worked fine . He could not get mine to work . It will connect and will not logon due to failure to confirm password . Technicians job is only to check line! I have 2 PC's have not altered anything and both will not connect either on Office connect or Dynalink . How will I ever get connected again? Note: Settings on Office connect have not been altered, checked that they are all OK . Green "sync" light flashs but will not settle . then tries again shortly afterwards . Hope someone has a hint to get going again . Cheers . |
