2007-12-01 11:28:00 | Hello PCWorld members, This is my first post.I hope that you are able to solve my problems.Thank you in advance. It began yesterday..i came back home and i turned on my PC when i was on Windows XP User Interface,i saw a trayicon(a computer screen with a red cross on it.which means that i have no acces to the internet.)I tried to repair but it says that it could not be fixed by the repair. Then,i didn't know what to do so i turned on my bro's PC using the same O.S as mine. But his computer had no access as well!Afterwards,i turned on my father's PC which all devices are connected to it,and it was the only one that had access!!I cheched everything,if the antennas were in the right place,i rebooted the modem but still nothing...(a blue device named SPeedtouch, another one U.S.Robotics Wireless MAXg Access Point,a tiny device'Speedtouch ADSL over ISDN splitter, and a last one with my ISP's name). Today,i retried and i at times over the red cross it said : "Wireless Network Found, click on this message to connect".i do that but after 2 secs the network is not found. Then i did something and a box appears saying:Waiting for server... but the server probably does not respond and the box disappears. In addition it tells me that my connecttion hardware is disconnected!!!These things drive me crazy!Someone give me a hand !:help: :badpc:

2007-12-01 11:44:00 | Welcome to PressF1 Vforvandalism :) Do you live in New Zealand?? I guess this is a Wireless Network you’re ruining? Instead of doing a repair, have you tried disabling the Wireless & re-enabling it?

2007-12-01 16:27:00 | Have you done a virus scan on the ones that cant get on the net?? What about firewalls?? What firewall, is installed on both? Umm get hijackthis in my sig below, put it in its own folder, run it. Then click on scan the system and save a log. Put it on both computers. Post (copy and paste) both logs from both here. I would also get trojan remover and rogueremover in my sig below. Install update both, and click on scan. Select all options under the utilities menu, in Trojan remover.

2007-12-01 16:51:00 | Your fathers PC is working so is that connected to the modem by ethernet cable. If so I suspect that you may need to check the wireless configuration is set up correctly in the US robotics access point as none of the computers connecting to the wireless network are working so it is not likely to be a problem with these. It looks as if you US Robotics wireless access point is not communicating with the speedtouch so you will need to check the configuration is set up correctly for this. Someone else maybe able to advise how to do this. .

2007-12-02 10:29:00 | Both computers with no internet access have Windows Firewall. Here are the logs but first i scanned with avast on my PC and it found :Win32:Agent-NYP->trojan horse in c:\windows\system32\systraymon.exe. Pfff i copy the logs to a CD and when i insert the CD on my father's computer it does not show that the logs exist....GRRRRR Anyway i scanned with TrOjan Remover and it said everything is ok with HijackThis it didn't say anything.Rogueremover on both computers says Congratulations no problems detected.Darn i do not have Flash drive either -_-.My bro's PC according to Rogue Remover, avast and Trojan Remover is ok.Should i format my PC?Win32:Agent-NYP is on every file.
