618164 2007-12-05 08:56:00 is it possible to have a email relay? like a DHCp server relay, an example of what i want to do:

Have a server (already setup, win2k3) and have some kind of program that collects my gmail (pop3) email, downloads it to the local server, and i can then configure MS outlook to get it frm the local network?

Currently i am usin Outlook to go straight to gmail, but my contacts and mail dont follow me as i move from computer to computer, i want to be able to grab my contacts anywhere within the network . maybe this is just too complicated but it would be very useful

Just had a look through the features and SmarterMail will do what you want and it is free for up to 10 email addresses!

618171 2007-12-05 09:46:00 but i dont have a domain name.....as i have to set up domains for email....tho i do have a domain controller here aidanmaz (7180)
618172 2007-12-05 09:46:00 I use a email notification program called pop peeper (http://www.poppeeper.com/) which I have setup to notify me of a email sent to my gmail account. I think you can configure it further to transfer the emails to outlook (which I have done with my xtra and yahoo incoming emails). You need to download the plugins from their site and click on their FAQ's for gmail setup. But I'm not sure if this would exactly suit your requirements with various PC's. Maybe worth a look... kahawai chaser (3545)
