| 617874 | 2007-12-04 15:50:00 | You should be using the synaptic packet manager available in yr "System" administration menu.If you clk that it will show you all the packets available for ubuntu then scroll down to java and check the square then follow the prompts. On the start sceen for Synaptic clk "Status" first and you will see headings for ALL,Installed,Not installed and upgradable. There is a bit of a learning curve here for newbies but Synaptic is an essential tool to get to grips with. |
