| 617737 | 2007-12-07 01:41:00 | Hi guys! I have an issue and hope you guys can help me out. I'll be playing Crysis (medium settings) and Bioshock (Max settings) and then all of a sudden the game just freezes. The sound continues for a few seconds, and then BAM! The whole things just loops, I get a still image, the music loops, and I'm forced into rebooting my machine. My graphics card drivers are also recently updated to the 169 driver. I've been playing Crysis all along until I et past the dome level, and once I enter the tanks, and theres heavy fire, it just freezes. My graphics card reaches temperatures of high 70's during gameplay. I hope theres a solution, beause I can't find any answers... I'm not that computer literate so bear with me... My Specs: Graphics Card === nVidia 8600GT, PCI-E, DDR3, Calibre Over clocked version, w/HDTV, Dual DVI, HDCP, Core Clock 630MHz, Memory Clock 1620MHz, DirectX10 Power Supply === Thermaltake ToughPower 750W Processor === Intel Quad Core q6600, 2.4 GHZ (2x4mb cache) Motherboard === Gigabyte GA-N680 SLI-dQ6 RAM === Corsair DDR2 4GB(2x2gb) PC-6400 Twin 2x4096-6400 Monitors === CMV (ChiMei), 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor, 1680x1050, 5ms, 800:1 Hope you guys can help... |

Hi ultimatefazman and welcome to PressF1 Next time you might want to start your own thread as this thread already has a topic :) Did you build your computer yourself? It sounds to me like it might be best to take your system into a good computer tech who is set up to troubleshoot. It might be the safest way to get the problem fixed if you don't know a lot about computers. |

| 617739 | 2007-12-07 05:08:00 | Thanks for the welcoming! Sorry bout that. I didn't mean to interrupt. I just thought my issue was on similar terms. Sorry again. I did build the machine by myself. Though everything is running fine, it's just when I actually run the games that it stuffs up. Still, I might take it down to MSY (local computer store) and get them to rebuild it for me. I'm going to go home and try lowering the RAM speed. I'm hoping that maybe it's running a lil too fast. Though that shouldn't be the case. I'm also going to run through the nVidea settings one last time to check to everything is ok. |

| 617740 | 2007-12-13 02:51:00 | Hey again, I tried re-connecting every thing in my pc, and for a few days it was perfect. It went (the graphics card) 10 degrees cooler, and everything was sweet! :D... But then out of nowhere it froze again. And then last night playing call of duty 4, it froze twice... Any other ideas... All drivers again are installed... I'm gonna try bringing my memory rate down on the graphics card, it is over clocked... ill let you know how it goes. Any other possible ideas anyone? |
