618796 2007-12-07 12:05:00 So

I am planning to help my friend setup xnet with Vfx

I was looking at this Linksys WAG54GP2 however I have heard people linksys isn't really good at all..

He needs a modem with a built in wireless router and because of vfx i was thinking to buy that linksys as it is capable of just plugging a normal phone in without purchasing the PAP2t device to save a bit of money

So what modem brands are you using?

I surely know to avoid D-Link but its strange that most shops are selling D-link

Is belkin a good brand?I personally like Netgear

So which brand are you currently using ?

618798 2007-12-07 16:13:00 D-link. Havent had a prob with it since I brought it.

I think most people hate D-link coz their ISP gave it to them.

And its probably some out of date piece of junk. Or its USB.

And they're crap. I didnt get this from Xnet. I brought it.

618799 2007-12-07 17:38:00 I use Belkin. Easy to set up

Incidentally, why do you have Netgear listed twice in the poll?
Maybe get one of the mods to change it to something else (like Linksys)?

618802 2007-12-07 18:41:00 I use a Conexant router (which, happily, is Ethernet). I used to have a USB D-link router, which worked fine for a few years, then packed up. pcuser42 (130)
