618917 2007-12-10 03:30:00 Has it played previous DVD discs from PCWorld OK?

If so, perhaps its just a bad disc and should be replaced (Just email / ring PCWorld)?
I would be inclined to try flashing firmware thou, they're cheap drives and its helped a number of customers Ive done it for.

618918 2007-12-10 05:02:00 It plays every other disk perfectly well.So it plays other DVDs or have you just tried CDs? Jen (38)
618919 2007-12-10 05:16:00 You can try this - go to the Drive letter in Windows Explorer and right clicking on it. Go to Properties; Click on Recording; Check "Enable CD recording on this drive". If it wasn't clicked before this may fix it.

I know you are not trying to record on these DVD's but it can have an effect sometimes the way the drive behaves.
