| 618526 | 2007-12-06 23:10:00 | Hi all, I am trying to install GeexBox (geexbox.org) onto my 2BG Usb stick and I need to partition it first but don't know how. I have found a fair bit of information on the web on how to do it but it's all a bit confusing and I can't find anything in Noob speak. If anyone knows a simple way to partition a usb stick I would love to hear from you. Thanks | stone2 (9037) | ||

To access this under XP, just go Start > Run and type diskmgmt.msc. Let us know if you require more details. | Jen (38) | ||

| 618530 | 2007-12-07 21:24:00 | Thanks people but disk management won't allow to partition a usb thumb drive. I have managed with Paragon Disk Manager tho. I'm running windows xp. Does anyone one know how to get GeexBox to load from a usb stick at boot. What I want is to be able to play movies without an operating system. I can do it if I install GeexBox onto a cd but I want to do it from my usb stick.I can install GeexBox onto the usb stick but can't get it to load at boot even when setting first boot device. Anyone interested in helping check out this link for the tutorial I'm trying to follow blogs.windowsnetworking.com Thanks in advance |
