618259 2007-12-05 23:22:00 I just installed XP on my new computer and I am having trouble trying to get my internet connection to work. My ethernet cord is plugged in and im using a belkin router 54g wireless router. I would go on ie and it would say page not displayed.

On network connections it says 1394 net adapter is connected. What would be the problem?

618260 2007-12-05 23:28:00 1394 is firewire. It will say connected, but its not for the network.

Have a look under the LAN icon / properties.

Whats under TCP/IP.

618261 2007-12-05 23:40:00 That is the only icon I have below "Lan or High Speed Internet" in Network connections. When I try to create a new connection it says that there is already one configured, but it is no where to be seen. gotrice864 (13096)

618263 2007-12-06 00:18:00 If there's nothing else in network connections, it sounds like you havent installed the network card drivers. Thats why its not working.

Install the network card drivers from the cd that came with the mobo, or get them from the Foxconn site. Then install them.
