619882 2007-12-10 07:27:00 For some reason my wireless internet connection cuts out periodically. I can not understand why this is happening. I am using a Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter (WMP54G).
The connection status says it is active however when I open a web page it loads for around 15 seconds before timing out. The only way I can fix this is by repairing the connection, which is very frustrating.

Please help!!

619883 2007-12-10 07:34:00 What ISP are you with??

It looks like Xnet is playing up again.

619884 2007-12-10 07:46:00 Oh, TelstraClear (Paradise).
I also just recently moved my PC to somewhere where it gets slightly less reception, but at 78% signal strength it shouldn't be acting up like this...

619885 2007-12-10 07:52:00 I would say its in the wrong place.

Even tho its saying 78%

So, the wireless youre using is a wireless network connection, or is the internet connection to Telstra wireless as well?

Theyre 2 different things.

619886 2007-12-10 07:57:00 The connection I am using on this PC is wireless. It goes through another computer connected to the TelstraClear cable. Chris815 (10270)

619888 2007-12-10 22:46:00 I agree with Speedy- also you could try another adaptor, I use the ASUS WL-167G for marginal reception locations it comes with swivelling connectors. PENTIUM (426)
