| 619701 | 2007-12-09 17:50:00 | i just recently started getting pop-up errors stating that a "trojan.win32.obfuscated.gx" has infected my browser (this happens whenever i open a file or browsing my internet), and that i need to download the latest spyware detection software, and it will take me to this website "xiedefender.com (if i press OK), and i have not downloaded anything, so, i have ran ad-aware in safemode with a "full system scan" and it still has not fixed it Could anybody help?? Thanks in advance ^-^ |

| 619706 | 2007-12-23 03:49:00 | Its main aim is to scan the registry for entries of known rogue programs, (the programs under programs targeted in RR). I dont think it scans folders or the whole hdd. Its only for rogue programs, its not an AV program. |

| 619707 | 2007-12-23 09:21:00 | If you know the Trojan file name you could do:- 1] Use "Unlocker" which is free and down loadable. This will probably delete it. 2] Use "Puppy Linux 3.01" also free, runs from CD boot. It just loves deleting Windows files:) but be careful! |
